Keep your false lashes in perfect condition
There’s nothing worse than spending a great deal of time and money to get those gorgeous lashes done only to wake up the next morning with them looking all misshapen and unsightly (pardon the pun!).

Well, here’s an easy fix. Dip a spoolie wand like these ones in baby oil or coconut oil, and comb out your lashes gently as though you are applying mascara. Works a treat! This has to be my favourite little hack. It has saved me money and time by helping me maintain my lashes in great condition for the longest possible. After all, they’re not cheap, so the less you have to make a trip to the beauty salon the better.
Use coconut oil to shave your legs
This is also one of the best things I’ve started doing recently. Besides making it so much easier to shave my legs (the razor just glides smoothly and easily), coconut oil also makes my skin feel baby soft afterwards. I use Unrefined Extra Virgin Coconut Oil and it works wonders on my skin.
Use natural oils to combat dry skin
Oil tends to get a bad wrap, especially in western countries because it’s usually greasy. But if you choose the right natural oils for your skin, it can have such great benefits for overall skin health and appearance.
Natural oils help restore skin elasticity and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. And that is why I love The Body Shop Oils of Life Intensely Revitalising Facial Oil.
It contains three essential oils that make up a wonderful hydrating trio to give skin a nice glow without making skin greasy. The oil is quickly absorbed into the skin leaving no residue.
The Body Shop Oils of Life contains:
Black cumin seed oil from Egypt
Camellia seed oil from China
Rosehip seed oil from Chile
The best thing about these oils is that they are cold-pressed meaning their beneficial properties are not destroyed through over-processing. Get The Body Shop Oils of Life Intensely Revitalising Facial Oil HERE.
Use mascara as a liner
Don’t you hate it when you’re getting ready to go out only to find you’ve run out of eyeliner? I know, first world problems!
But I love this idea of using mascara as a liner from The Beauty Department. Here’s a chart that shows you just how you can do that:

Fix eyeliner smudges with a Q-tip (cotton swab)
Next time you smudge your eyeliner during application, there’s no need to remove all the eyeliner and start all over again. Dab lotion on a cotton swab and gently remove the smudge off of your eyes. You can also use this trick to fix mistakes when you’re trying to get that perfect winged liner.
Create a smoky eye effect using a Q-tip
On the other hand, if you’re looking to smudge your eyeliner to create a smoky eye effect, you can also use a clean cotton swab to swipe the creamy eyeliner upwards. Easy!
Use coconut oil as a makeup remover
Dab coconut oil onto a cotton ball and gently remove makeup. It’s a great natural alternative to commercial make up removers. And it has the added benefit of having anti-bacterial, antiviral, and anti-fungal properties. Just remember, not all coconut oil is created the same, so go for Unrefined Extra Virgin Coconut Oil.

Use a toothbrush to control fly aways
Never struggle to get your hair in a neat bun or updo again. Apply a small amount of gel to your edges and use a toothbrush (dedicated for this use only) to smooth your hair down. This is especially handy if you have frizzy or curly hair.
I use Olive Oil ECOCO Eco Style Gel which doesn’t weigh my hair down or make it look greasy. It’s one of my staple hair products.
How to fix dry, cracked feet
Dry, cracked feet are so hard to remedy. So, here’s a weird combo – Listerine and vinegar. But it works like magic.
Listerine has the added bonus of containing antiseptic properties, which is great for fending off infections and keeping those feet clean and fresh.

To keep your feet consistently soft and smooth (prevention is better than cure), apply a hydrating lotion and put socks on before bed to let it absorb overnight.
How to choose the right eyebrow liner
Make your eyebrows look their absolute best by choosing the right shade of brow liner based on your hair color.
You don’t want to use extremely contrasting colors on your eyebrow when compared to your hair color, since it looks unnatural.
To create a seamlessly natural brow color, use the chart below as a guide, and you would have selected the perfect shade in no time.

Revive dried up mascara
Have you got dried up, clumpy mascara? Just put the closed mascara in a bowl or cup of hot water for 5 minutes.
Alternatively you can add a few drops of regular eye drops into the mascara, and you will have mascara that’s good as new.
Cover grey roots and new growth
I know a lot of people advise using a headband but headbands can look a bit tacky and you can’t wear them to work or somewhere formal.
You’re better off using a little mascara that matches your hair color (works well especially if your dyed hair is brown or black).
Apply it to the roots where your hair is parted. You can also use a cotton swab to apply temporary hair dye to cover roots until you get to your hairdresser.
Easy DIY teeth whitener
Need a teeth whitener that won’t cost you much money? Brush your teeth using baking soda! Wet your toothbrush with a little water and add a sprinkle of baking soda to it for your very own teeth whitening miracle.
Use baking soda as dry shampoo
It’s late at night, you’re too tired or lazy to wash your hair, and you don’t have any dry shampoo. Well, here’s the next best thing. Use a small amount of baking soda to apply to roots and brush before bed.
Applying it before bed helps it incorporate into your hair eliminating that powdery look in the morning. So please avoid doing this in the morning.
